                11/18/09: Von Miller is taking scouts by storm with 15 sacks already this season and has moved up with one huge season from an undrafted prospect to a 1^st round prospect. That scares me. The numbers show that pass rushers with just one good season in college struggle when they get to the pros. He also hasn’t been facing the best of competition at Texas A&M, though he did have a huge game against top offensive tackle prospect Russell Okung and Oklahoma State.

He really lacks size at 240 pounds, but runs a great straight line 40 which could fall into the 4.4s. He doesn’t have a huge pass rushing repertoire and is going to get destroyed in the trenches in the NFL. He is solely a rush linebacker or an outside linebacker at the next level. He hasn’t shown good skills at dropping back in pass protection which he’ll need to play outside linebacker or rush linebacker.

With all of the sacks he has, he actually has a pretty average amount of tackles for a loss which shows that he doesn’t get into the backfield as often as his sacks total would suggest. He could go in the first round in a weak pass rushing class, but I don’t think he belongs there. There are too many red flags. I think he is a 2^nd round prospect at best.
